Laravel

Installing Laravel

To install Laravel, we recommend using the Plesk Laravel Toolkit, shown directly on the left side menu inside Plesk.

Document Root

The Laravel Toolkit in Plesk will automatically update the document root for you, so you will not need to ask an admin to do this for you.

Laravel in Softaculous is Not Recommended

We do not recommend installing Laravel using Softaculous, since it will not automatically update the document root for you. The Softaculous install method has caused problems for some users and is not recommended.

Users who install Laravel with Softaculous who encounter issues or ask for their document root to be changed by an admin will be guided to use the Laravel Toolkit instead, since it is the recommended installation method for which the volunteer staff can try to provide support.

Account Load

Laravel can sometimes use a lot of server resources, and exceeding the account load limits will cause your user account to be suspended for high server usage on our Tommy and Johnny servers. Accounts on our Morty server will not be suspended but will be charged for account load overages.

We strongly recommend you keep an eye on your account load on the user Dashboard at: heliohost.org/dashboard/load/.

Uninstalling Laravel

The Laravel Toolkit does not have an uninstall option. If you want to remove Laravel, you will need to request an account reset.

Further Guidance

Plesk offers more detailed guidance on using the Laravel Toolkit on their Documentation and Help Portal.
